About Me

Hi there,

I’m Debbie, owner and founder of Debbo’s Doggos.

I set up Debbo’s Doggos after a number of friends, family and colleagues told me their struggles with finding a good dogwalker in Derbyshire that they could trust with their furry family member.

My childhood family dog, a Westie named Sally, lived to 16 years and was very much part of our family. This relationship with her made me really passionate about animals, and as a kid I wanted to become a vet. I soon got distracted by a career in marketing, but this enabled me to travel the world and live and work in Australia, where my life and career came back to animals yet again.

During my time in Sydney, Australia, I worked as a dog walker for a wonderful lady who had been running her own business for decades. She showed me the gold standard of animal care, and the difference that the right dog walker can have on a dog’s life.

By combining the right dogs together on each walk and ensuring each individual dog’s needs are looked after, I provide an enriching experience that brings out the best in your dog. They will come home well socialised, stimulated and – of course – well looked after. It sounds simple, but a good walk makes such a difference to a dog’s day.

Since moving back to the UK in 2017, more and more people have asked me to look after and walk their dogs, and have encouraged me to set up my own business where my passion for pets can really shine.
